Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OUSD(P&R)), Department of Defense (DoD).
ACTION:
60-Day information collection notice.
SUMMARY:
In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the OUSD(P&R) announces a proposed public information collection and seeks public comment on the provisions thereof. Comments are invited on: whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information shall have practical utility; the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed information collection; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and ways to minimize the burden of the information collection on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology.

Consideration will be given to all comments received by February 18, 2025.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
Title; Associated Form; and OMB Number: Mandatory Disclosures as Part of Limitations on Terms of Consumer Credit Extended to Service Members and Dependents; OMB Control Number 0704-0444.
Needs and Uses: Title 10 U.S.C. 987 establishes limitations on terms of consumer credit extended to members of the Armed Forces and their dependents. The purpose of this information collection is to ensure disclosures required by 10 U.S.C. 987(c)(1) and discretionary checks of covered-borrower status stipulated in 32 CFR 232.5(b)(2) by creditors in the process of extending consumer credit.
Affected Public: Individuals or households.
Annual Burden Hours: 1,983,438.
Number of Respondents: 37,500.
Responses per Respondent: 6,347 averages (varies widely by type of respondent).
Annual Responses: 238,012,500.
Average Burden per Response: 30 seconds.
