This is a Notice of the Presidential declaration of a major disaster for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (FEMA-1798-DR), dated 10/01/2008.
Incident: Severe Storms and Flooding.
Incident Period: 09/21/2008 and continuing.
Effective Date: 10/01/2008.
Physical Loan Application Deadline Date: 12/01/2008.
Economic Injury (EIDL) Loan Application Deadline Date: 07/01/2009.

Notice is hereby given that as a result of the President's major disaster declaration on 10/01/2008, applications for disaster loans may be filed at the address listed above or other locally announced locations.
The following areas have been determined to be adversely affected by the disaster:

Guayama, Humacao, Maunabo, Patillas, Ponce, Salinas, Santa Isabel, Yabucoa.
Contiguous Municipalities (Economic Injury Loans Only):
Puerto Rico: Adjuntas, Aibonito, Arroyo, Cayey, Coamo, Jayuya, Juana Diaz, Las Piedras, Naguabo, Penuelas, San Lorenzo, Utuado.
