SUMMARY:
This notice announces a conference callmeeting of the Inert Disclosure Stakeholder Workgroup. Theworkgroup was established to advise the Pesticide ProgramDialogue Committee on ways of making information on inertingredients more available to the public while working within themandates of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and RodenticideAct (FIFRA) and related Confidential Business Informationconcerns.

The meeting will be held by conferencecall on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm EST.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:
The Inert DisclosureStakeholder Workgroup is composed of a participants from thefollowing sectors: environmental/public interest and consumergroups; industry and pesticide users; Federal, State and localgovernments; the general public; academia and public healthorganizations.
The Inert Disclosure Stakeholder Workgroup, will advise theEPA through the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC), onpotential measures to increase the availability to the public ofinformation about inert ingredients (also called "otheringredients") under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, andRodenticide Act (FIFRA). Among the factors the workgroup hasbeen asked to consider in preparing its recommendations are:existing law regarding inert ingredients and ConfidentialBusiness Information (CBI); current Agency processes and policiesfor disseminating inert ingredient information to the public,including procedures for the protection of CBI; informationalneeds for a variety of stakeholders; and business reasons forlimiting the disclosure of inert ingredient information.
The Inert Disclosure Stakeholder Workgroup meeting is open tothe public. Written public statements are welcome and should besubmitted to the OPP administrative docket OPP-00439A. Anyperson who wishes to file a written statement can do so before orafter the conference call. These statements will become part ofthe permanent file and will be provided to the Workgroup membersfor their information.
